MANIFESTO:
„In
western culture, we have been educated at separation. We distinguish
the continental philosophers from the analytical philosophers; we
distinguish between Marxist analysis and libertarian analysis; science
and poetry; art and politics. We are steeped in schizophrenia: this is
the final triumph of the division of labour. Now we need to begin
rejecting this teaching. This is the task of this magazine (space-time)
which will create a mixture of film and history of Marxism, a mix of the
current state of the art and speeches of political philosophy, a mix of
literature and boxing. We criticize the separation and we want to open a
virtual (Bergson) space-time able to (help) create motivations and
actions that are truly alternative to the spectacle of criticism,
capable of showing honest distaste for the purely formal art (Warburg),
for the aesthetic decoration of political activity (Syberberg), for the
cosmetics of life (John Ford), and for the rosary historicist
(Benjamin). It doesn’t mean abandoning clarity, but rejecting the
separation and schizophrenia antinomy which prohibits making
concatenations and mixtures (including deviations) of concepts put into
circulation by Chomsky, Bookchin or by Deleuze, Foucault, Debord and
Badiou, Marx and Arendt, Raoul Walsh and Giordano Bruno. We reject the
ban on investigating the relationship with the whole and to establishing
links between art and politics: this ban condemned people to specialist
mechanical function (or, in its related reverse, to the absence of any
vocation and professionalism). An American thinker, Chauncey Wright,
once said: „We must make a new use of old features“.“

  1. „honest distaste for … the aesthetic decoration of political activity (Syberberg)” — Kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.
